The Brief

Having witnessed collaboration classroom technology in action at a roadshow, staff at SRUC knew this was what they wanted for their teaching facilities. A tender was issued for the pilot, Mediascape won, and we immediately harnessed our expertise in this area to exceed client expectations.

Solutions

Staff had seen the Kramer VIA system work alongside Team Mate’s WorkZone II Collaboration Tables. Mediascape stuck to these tried-and-tested collaboration facilities as the basis of the system. We steered the original tender specification away from interactive projection to the ever popular Clevertouch series of interactive touch displays, using both an 86″ on a motorised wall mount and a 55″ on a trolley. These screens are mirrored, allowing a tutor or students to resume their interactive presentation at any point from either screen.

From the easy-to-use interface that we created on an iPad, the tutor can send:

Any of the tutor’s sources to any display in the room and to all displays in the room

Any of the students’ sources at any of the displays or to all displays in the room

Staff therefore have a new collaboration facility, with full control, done in style and with ease.
