Porsche Showroom Display
Aberdeen, United Kingdom
The name 'Vardy' is synonymous with motor retail in the UK. It first emerged with Reg Vardy in 1923 and was developed by his son, Sir Peter Vardy, who helped the company reach the top ranks of European motor retailers with over 6,000 employees in the UK and a turnover of £1.7bn.
The Peter Vardy Porsche Centre in Aberdeen offers excellent facilities and services, with a full range of Porsche models on display and a huge array of fully certified, Porsche Approved pre-owned cars.
Mediascape was approached by the team at Peter Vardy to design and install an AV solution that would create an impactful first impression for visitors to the Aberdeen showroom. This solution would help to enhance the buying process for customers and deliver the high quality expected of the Porsche brand and Peter Vardy's standards of excellence.
After numerous discussions and ideas regarding projectors, floor standing displays and more, we proposed a video wall solution that would display high-definition digital imagery and video of the Porsche range.
After giving the client a demo as a "proof of concept", Mediascape was commissioned to proceed with the recommended setup of a wall-mounted display and integrated audio to enhance the experience. For this design, we used 9x55" NEC 700cd/m screens mounted on Peerless quick release videowall brackets. The content for the screens would be delivered using a Onelan 4K signage player, linked to a "human sensor" to automatically start playing the video content when visitors waked past an infra-red beam. Audio would be linked through a Lab Gruppen 120/2 Amp and 2 Tannoy speakers, mounted either side of the videowall.
Our AV solution utilised products from several brands including:
The team at Mediascape was able to design, supply and install a high impact AV display system to showcase the Porsche range for customers and visitors. The Peter Vardy team was delighted with the result, and we are proud to have delivered such a high quality solution for an iconic car brand and long-standing British supplier.
