Stirling Castle - The Grand Hall Audio Up Grade
Stirling Castle is one of the largest and most important castles in Scotland, both historically and architecturally. The castle sits atop Castle Hill, an intrusive crag, which forms part of the Stirling Sill geological formation.
Stirling Castle is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and is now a tourist attraction managed by Historic Environment Scotland.
The initial instruction from Historic Environment Scotland was - "we want to up-grade our audio system as the Great Hall is being booked for outside organisations on a regular basis"
Mediascape Ltd - designed, supplied and installed a brand new Audio System in the Great Hall.
The installation happened over 8 days and the installation team had to work round the various visitors in the Great Hall so as not to disturb the many visitors and organised groups. The fabric of the Hall had to be maintained and no cable can be seen from ground level.
The most up to date wireless digital technology was used and this assisted the HES Staff to allow no cables to be seen. The finished article was all wireless providing a safer environment, especially to compensate the heavy footfall this landmark receives.
