Peter Vardy - Porsche Showroom
Aberdeen
HIGH IMPACT DISPLAY TO SHOWCASE THE PORSCHE RANGE
THE CLIENT
The name 'Vardy' is synonymous with motor retail in the UK. It first emerged with Reg Vardy in 1923, and was developed by his son Sir Peter Vardy who helped the company reach the top ranks of European motor retailers with over 6,000 employees in the UK and a turnover of £1.7bn.
THE BRIEF
The client was looking for a way to impact their customers upon entering the showroom.
THE SOLUTION
After numerous discussions and ideas regarding projectors, floor standing display, etc. we proposed a wall mounted, 3 x 3 videowall for displaying high quality image of the Porsche range.
After giving the client a demo as a "proof of concept", the client commissioned us to proceed with the recommended set up. For this design, we used 9 x 55" NEC 700cd/m screens mounted on Peerless quick release videowall brackets. The content for the screens is delivered using a Onelan 4k signage player, linked to a "human sensor" to automatically start playing the video content when visitors waked past the IR beam.
To enhance the experience, we amplified the audio through a Lab Gruppen 120/2 Amp and 2 x Tannoy speakers, mounted either side of the videowall.
