Mediascape is majority owned by an Employee Ownership Trust, meaning most of the company’s shares are held in Trust on behalf of its employees. In this way, Mediascape is proud to be an employee-owned company.
Why did we choose employee ownership?
Shona and Angus Knight, the owners of Mediascape, decided to sell their shares to an Employee Ownership Trust as they felt it was the most effective way of ensuring that the company would continue to grow and flourish in the long term. Employee owned companies tend to outperform conventionally structured firms, achieving higher levels of productivity and both happier staff and customers. This stable model of ownership allows everyone in Mediascape to focus on building the company, looking after our clients, and remaining at the forefront of Audio-Visual technology.
What does it mean for Mediascape?
Our Board of Directors report to the Employee Ownership Trust. The Trustees comprise three employees, elected by their peers, who are there to make sure that the company is well-run and stays true to the vision of quality, innovation and excellent service, securing the future for the business and its employees.
