Introducing Our New Managing Director
We are excited to announce that Mediascape has recently appointed a new Managing Director. Niall MacDonald, former Managing Director of Aquascot, will be joining the company on the 3rd of August as current MD and company co-founder, Angus Knight, steps down to transition to a new role as company chair.
Speaking with regards to his appointment, Niall said: “I was keen to work for a business that shared my values, and employee ownership is very important to me. Once I saw what Mediascape did, the expertise they have and professionalism demonstrated, I knew this was the role I wanted. Yes, these are challenging times, but I believe that Mediascape has an exciting future ahead and I can’t wait to be part of it.”
His appointment as our new MD marks the end of the exit period laid out by co-founders Angus and Shona Knight, who in 2018 sold their shareholding majority in the business to the wider Mediascape team through an employee ownership trust.
Both co-founders have no immediate plans to leave Mediascape, as they remain with the company for the medium term to help oversee our return to the workplace and regular operation following the COVID-19 pandemic.
A New Era For The Company
Angus had this to say about this new era for the company: “It’s testament to the reputation of Mediascape that we are able to attract a leader of Niall’s calibre. We involved many of the staff in the selection process and the decision to hire was unanimous.”
Shona added: “Niall is inheriting a fantastic team. It’s been a tough few months but the way the employees have responded, and how they have launched so whole-heartedly into getting us back to business is just inspiring.”
